Privacy, terms and acceptable use

This template explains how ubijoo is intended to be used by schools, staff and students. Schools should review and adapt this wording to match their own policies before publishing.

Privacy notice

ubijoo is used to support online learning, revision, coding activities, teacher feedback and progress reporting. Personal data is processed so schools can create accounts, manage classes, assign work, review submissions and support students.

Information we may hold

  • Names, email addresses, roles, school and class membership.
  • Student work, quiz attempts, written answers, uploaded files and feedback responses.
  • Progress information, XP, reward badges, reports and teacher marking records.
  • Security information such as password reset events, sign-in records and two-factor authentication status.

How information is used

Information is used to provide the learning platform, show assigned work, help teachers mark and monitor progress, generate reports, maintain security and support school administration.

Sharing information

Information should only be shared with authorised school staff, platform administrators and trusted service providers needed to run the site. Student information should not be sold or used for unrelated advertising.

Terms of use

  • Users should keep login details private and only access accounts they are authorised to use.
  • Students should submit their own work unless a teacher has allowed collaboration.
  • Uploaded files and written answers must be appropriate for school use.
  • Teachers and administrators should only access information needed for their role.
  • Accounts may be suspended if the platform is misused or security is at risk.
